Creating a New Automation
To create a new automation rule in AppReply, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Automations section in your AppReply dashboard.
- Click on the New Automation button to open the automation builder.
- Enter a unique and descriptive name for your automation rule in the Automation Name field.
- Toggle the Enable Automation Rule switch to activate or deactivate the automation.
Configuring the Automation Conditions
In the automation builder, you can specify the conditions that trigger the automated response. AppReply supports the following condition types:
Review Rating
Under the IF Review Rating section, select the rating condition and value:
- Condition: Choose from "is," "is not," "more than," or "less than."
- Value: Select the star rating (1 to 5) that matches your condition.
Review Text and Language
Under the AND section, you can add multiple conditions based on the review text and language:
- Select the condition type: "Review Text" or "Language."
- For "Review Text" conditions:
- Choose the text condition: "contains" or "doesn't contain."
- Enter the specific keywords or phrases to match in the review text.
- For "Language" conditions:
- Select the language from the dropdown menu.
- To add more conditions, click the Add Another Condition button.
- To remove a condition, click the X icon next to the condition.
Selecting the Reply Folder
In the THEN Reply With section, choose the folder containing the canned responses you want to use for the automated replies:
- Click on the folder dropdown menu.
- Select the desired folder from the list of available folders.
Saving the Automation
Once you have configured the automation conditions and selected the reply folder, click the Save Automation button to create the automation rule.
Managing Automations
In the Automations section of your AppReply dashboard, you can view, edit, and delete your existing automation rules:
- To edit an automation, click on the automation name and make the necessary changes in the automation builder.
- To delete an automation, click on the delete icon next to the automation name.
Best Practices
When creating automation rules in AppReply, consider the following best practices:
- Be specific with your conditions to target the most relevant reviews.
- Use clear and concise names for your automations to easily identify their purpose.
- Regularly review and update your automations to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Test your automations thoroughly before enabling them to avoid unintended responses.
